Close friends, former colleagues, veteran journalists band together to host new weekly talk show.

Disruptors – A person or thing that prevents something, especially a system, process, or event, from continuing as usual or as expected. This summer we can expect to see Cari Champion and Jemele Hill on our screens, this time as a pair. The dynamic duo will join Vice TV on a new weekly talk show “Disruptors with Jemele Hill and Cari Champion,” set to debut this summer. With the nation’s attention on matters dealing with race and social justice, this is an opportune moment for “Disruptors”.
From their time at ESPN working on shows such as The Undefeated, SportsCenter, His & Hers, SportsCenter, SportsNation and First Take, Jemele Hill and Cari Champion are not new to this. Both women in their own respects have been trailblazers, a voice for the people, and advocates for change. The show will welcome unfiltered conversations and discussions on various topics from current events in sports, business, culture, politics and more. On a snippet released via Instagram introducing the upcoming show Champion states that “the hope in this show is to talk about everything that is uncomfortable because that’s the only time you have real change.”
On the show, they will also be joined by different leaders and change agents who will provide additional insight and perspective. As they look to have their voices heard and make the audience think, the shows content will not be limited to serious conversations. Staying true to the versatility of black women Champion and Hill hope to use their authentic, outspoken and entertaining voices to make people laugh.
Close friends, former colleagues, veteran journalists and now host of Disruptors, Champion and Hill are women with a purpose using their platform to help their community. With eight episodes in the works, it will be exciting to see two black women leading the narrative and conversation. We will be tuned in to see what the pair has in store for the nation this summer!
